The SWOOSH Technique General
The Swoosh technique is a simple and effective program that Sheila has used with clients since the late 1990’s and which can be used for a variety of applications in your life.
Based on using your subconscious mind, an incredibly powerful part of your body, which knows only what you tell it, and which will faithfully repeat your instructions back to you every time. It can be seen as being like a ‘filing cabinet’.
The Three Levels of the Mind
For example, you get out of bed on Monday morning ready to begin your week, and mentally say to yourself ‘I hate Monday’!
Your powerful subconscious mind flicks though its ‘filing cabinet’ and locates the type of day you have just asked for: an ‘I hate Monday’ day. Based on all of the ‘I hate Mondays you have had in the past.
So, it is of little wonder that the negative thoughts and ideas that we have carried around with us in some instances for years have such a powerful and often immediate effect on our bodies. The Swoosh technique, so called as it as it describes a word that you will be asked to say during this exercise or process.
